I entered the monastery at Mt. Angel Abbey in 1954 and was ordained a priest in 1960. Meeting and working with people from different backgrounds and professions have enriched my life. I have many interests ranging from music and mathematics to sports and wilderness experience. Over the years of my monastic life I have had opportunity to explore these and many other interests. I appreciate the balance of prayer, work and leisure that life in this monastery provides. I am the business manager, and I am also in charge of the music at our liturgy. At times I give parish missions and talks to groups using our guest facilities. I work in the Cursillo Movement in southern Idaho. By helping with dishes, cleaning and meeting visitors I feel I have the opportunity to make a real contribution to our community and its works. Recently I have been working in the Kairos Prison Ministry
